Yes, that's it : Calculate a value e.g. -10dB in mV.

I found this kind of formula : V = V0dB x 10(LdB / 20)
With V0dB equals voltage at 0dB = 1,3V for 514nWb @0dB.

For example with LdB = -6dB :
V = 1,3 x 10(-6/20) = 651mV

With LdB = -10dB :
V = 1,3 x 10(-10/20) = 411mV

With LdB = -20dB :
V = 1,3 ...

I hope that this post will be useful for other TS1000 loyers !

Last question : do you know how to convert VU dB to RMS voltage using 514nWb @dB = 1,3V ?
I searched on the net but couldn't find any clear rule !

The tuning you described works perfectly.

Calibration and heads alignment are now OK at 1khz and 10khz.

I'm back with some news !
I checked the tape path and it seems to be ok, just by watching the tape contact with the heads with a transparent header tape.
I then tried to tune the screws for playback head alignment, using my level calibration tape.
I succeeded in getting a better result ...
